Slow File Transfer from PC or Network to the Machine

Repeatedly Accessing the PC Hard Drive Causes Slow Transfer

Corrective Action:

If you open and close the host computer's hard drive multiple times, the file transfer may slow down. Avoid accessing the host computer's hard drive during transfers.

The File is Larger than 4 MB

Corrective Action:

Transfer speed can slow down for files larger than 4MB. To prevent this, try these options:

  • Cycle power on the Haas machine before you transfer a large file.
  • Set up a Net Share folder to run the large program in FNC mode from the network folder. This way, you do not have to copy the file from the network to the hard drive.

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
