Main Processor - Dual Battery PCB - Battery Replacement

This procedure tells you how to replace the batteries on a machine with the dual battery PCB installed. The illustration shows the dual battery PCB installed on the side of the control cabinet [A], and on the main control PCB [B]. The procedure is the same for both.

Two 3.0 V Lithium batteries, BR or CR-2/3A style, are required for the battery replacement.

Step 1

The machine data can be lost in the battery replacement process. Backup your files. Go to to learn how. Search "machine data backup."

Push POWER OFF. Set the main circuit breaker to the OFF position. Lock the main circuit breaker. Use an approved lock with an approved safety tag.

Step 2

One battery must remain on the dual battery PCB at all times. Replace the batteries one at a time.

Remove the clip [1] that holds the battery [2] to the dual battery PCB. Replace the removed battery [2]. Install the clip [1] onto the replaced battery [2].

Repeat the instructions for the second battery [3].

Set the main circuit breaker to the ON position. Push POWER ON.

If the machine data is lost, use the backup file you created in step 1. The document you used for backup instructions also explains how to reload the data.
