Apply thread sealant to the hose end fittings that do not have it. Use the table that follows to find the correct length of the air hose.

Machine Suggested Length for the Air Hose
MM, SMM, ST-10, TM-1, OM 60 - 72" (1.5 - 1.8 m)
VF-1/2, DT-1, UMC-750, ST-15/20/25/30, DS-30, TM-2/3, EC-400/500 72 - 84" (1.8 - 2.4 m)
VF-3/4/5 84 - 96" (2.1 - 2.4 m)
All others 10' (3 m)

Step 1

Close the primary air valve. Pull the ring on the pressure-relief valve on the air/lubrication manifold. This releases the air pressure from the system.

Disconnect the existing air hose from the machine. The new straight air hose has a fitting that is crimped on. Connect the crimped fitting to the air supply.

note: Some machines have the air supply under the glove box. Some machines can have the air supply in another location in front of the machine.

Attach the air gun to the fitting.
