Overview - Auto Air Gun

You can configure the Auto Air Gun (AAG) to blow air on the mill cutting tool. This removes chips during dry cutting.

Exploded View

Refer to the illustration that follows for an exploded view of the AAG P/N 30-2738A. The AAG is part of the AAG Installation Kit P/N 93-2213.

Operator Information

Press SHIFT and then COOLANT to manually start and stop the AAG.

Program Information

An M83 code starts the AAG. An M84 code stops the AAG.

An M83 Pnnn code does these tasks:

  • Starts the AAG for nnn milliseconds.
  • Stops the AAG automatically.


Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
