The Machine Requires a Software Update

Corrective Action:

Update the machine to the latest software version. For mills, use software version M18.21C or later. For lathes, use version L11.17C or later.

The Ethernet Cable is Too Long

Corrective Action:

Avoid the use of Ethernet cables longer than 100 feet (30 m). Use a switch box between long lengths of cable to boost the signal.

Electrical Interference in the Ethernet Cable

Strong electrical currents flowing through cables can create interfering signals in the Ethernet cable.

Corrective Action:

Keep the Ethernet cable as far away as possible from electrical cables. Do not attach the Ethernet cable to the machine’s power cable.

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
