Clearing Tool and Work Offsets

When you set up the machine for a new job, it is good practice to clear the offset tables. This can prevent machine crashes caused by incorrect offsets left in the control.

To quickly clear an offset table, press [ORIGIN] while the desired offset table is active. In software versions M16.00 / L9.00 and later, a pop-up menu appears with options to clear the current cell, column, row, or the entire table.

Press [Y] or [N] to confirm or cancel the request at the ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO ZERO (Y/N)? prompt.

Caution: If you have a probe system installed, clearing all tool offsets will also clear offset for the probe. We recommend writing down the tool length offset value for the spindle probe and reenter the offset after you clear all offsets.

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
