Classic Haas Control (CHC) - Backup Machine

Many Haas users regularly make copies of their machine data files. The Save All - Back Up function makes a copy for the settings, parameters, programs, and other data. If an incident occurs where you lose your machine data files, you can use the copies to pull all the machine data back onto the machine.

Software versions M16.00/L11.00 and higher have Save All - Back Up in the LIST PROGRAMS menus for all available external storage devices. For example:

To make copies for your machine data files to a USB memory device, do these steps:

  1. Put your USB device into the control.
  2. Select the USB DEVICE tab in the LIST PROG menu. Select and open USB DEVICE.
  3. Push F4.
  4. Select the Save All - Back Up option in the pop-up menu.
  5. Type a name for the files, usually the machine serial number.
  6. Push ENTER. Make copies of the machine data files onto the USB device.
Other menu selections let you make copies of one type of data file (programs, for example).

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
