Spindle and Spindle Motor - Tooth Pulley and Cog Belt - Grease - Application

This procedure tells you how to apply grease to the spindle and motor pulleys and to the spindle belts. Do this after you install a new belt and adjust the belt tension. This reduces spindle noise.

Push POWER OFF. Set the main circuit breaker to the OFF position. Lock the main circuit breaker. Use an approved lock with an approved safety tag.

Lightly apply GREASE, SILICONE – 5.3 OZ [A] to (5) teeth on the motor pulley [1].

Manually turn the spindle [1] until each pulley and belt has a thin layer of grease. Remove all excess grease.
