This procedure tells you how to adjust the turret locked and unlocked sensors. The procedure shows a ST-10 with software version L11.13A.

ST-10/10Y, SL-10-30, TL-15/25, HL-1-6 - Turret Locked Sensor - Adjustment

Step 1

Push EMERGENCY STOP.

Do these steps. Monitor the PARAM DGNOS screen at the same time:

  1. Loosen the lock sensor clamp. Move the lock sensor and clamp up until T. Turret Locked changes to 0.
  2. Slowly move the lock sensor and clamp up. Find the location where the value is as near as possible to 1, but the value is 0.
  3. Put a mark on the turret lock cylinder on the outside of the lock sensor clamp.
  4. Repeat Step 1. Repeat Step 2, but move the clamp down. Repeat Step 3.
  5. Move the lock sensor and clamp to the middle point between the two marks. Tighten the clamp.

Step 2

Push A, ZERO RETURN, then SINGLE.

Make sure the T. Turret Locked value is equal to 1 .

Operate this program in MDI mode.

This program makes sure the turret lock sensor operates correctly.

Push PARAM DGNOS.

Make sure that T. Turret Locked is 1 when the program operates the tool turret lock.

Lathe - Turret Unlocked Sensor - Adjustment

Step 1

Do these steps. Monitor the PARAM DGNOS screen at the same time:

  1. Operate this code in MDI mode: M43 .
  2. Loosen the unlock sensor clamp.
  3. Move the unlock sensor and clamp up until Tool Turret Unl. changes to 0.
  4. Slowly move the unlock sensor and clamp up. Find the location where the value is as near as possible to 1, but the value is 0.
  5. Put a mark on the turret lock cylinder on the outside of the unlock sensor clamp.
  6. Repeat Step 3. Repeat Step 4, but move the clamp down. Repeat Step 5.
  7. Move the unlock sensor and clamp to the middle point between the two marks. Tighten the clamp.

Step 2

Push A, ZERO RETURN, then SINGLE.

Make sure T. Turret Locked is 1.

Operate this program in MDI mode. This program makes sure the turret unlock sensor operates correctly:

G04 P1.;

M99;

Push PARAM DGNOS.

Make sure that T. Turret Unl. changes to 1 when the program operates the tool turret unlock.

You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.
