HaasConnect Mobile Application (HCMA)

This document tells you how to use the HaasConnect Mobile Application (HCMA). This application lets you use your mobile phone to remotely monitor your HaasConnect-enabled machines. You can also receive HaasConnect alerts and notifications through the HCMA.

Prerequisites

Before you continue with this document, do these steps:

  • Download the HCMA on your mobile device from the App store or from the Google Play store.
  • Make sure that you have a HaasConnect account. For instructions to create this account, refer to HaasConnect - Create an Account.
  • Make sure that you have (1) or more Haas machines registered on your HaasConnect account. For instructions to register a machine, refer to HaasConnect - Machine Registration.
  • Make sure that your mobile device is connected to the internet.

Step 1

When you open the HCMA for the first time, the ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS message is shown.

Tap ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS or Close to continue.

Step 2

The Dashboard screen is shown each time you open the HCMA.

From the Dashboard, tap the Settings icon [1].

From this screen, you can do these actions:

  • Toggle Alert Options. The button is green to show you the alert is on.
  • View the frequently asked questions (FAQ). This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.
  • Send feedback for the HCMA. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.
  • View the App Version.
  • Tap Sign Out to log off of the HCMA.

Step 3

From the Dashboard, tap the Action icon [1].

From this screen, you can do these actions:

  • Tap Edit Machines. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.
  • Tap Manage Users. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.
  • Tap Edit Own Profile. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.
  • Tap Cancel to return to the Dashboard.

Step 4

From the Dashboard, tap a registered Haas machine. This will take you to the Activity screen. This example uses VF-4 Demo Room.

From the Activity screen, you can do these actions:

  • View all events.
  • Delete an event.
  • Toggle the notifications from the Set Events screen.
  • Edit users in the Users screen.

Step 5

From the Activity screen, choose an event. This example uses 107 EMERGENCY STOP.

Slide 107 EMERGENCY STOP to the left until you see Delete. Tap Delete to remove the event from the Activity screen.

note: You can also delete events from the Dashboard. To do this, click on the Activity icon on the Dashboard.

Step 6

From the Activity screen, tap the Set Events icon [1].

From this screen, you can toggle the set event notifications. You receive a notification when an active event occurs on the machine. The button is green to show you the notification is on.

Step 7

From the Activity screen, tap the Users icon [1].

From this screen, you can do these actions:

  • Toggle the push, email, and text notifications on your profile. The button is green for each notifications that is on.
  • You can tap on your profile to edit your information. Tap User Settings, then tap Edit User Account. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.

For HaasConnect Administrators only:

  • Toggle email and text notifications for other users on your Contacts list. Tap a user's name, then tap on the button to the right of each notification type. The button turns green to show you the notification is on.
  • You can tap User Settings to edit the contact. Tap Edit User Account. This option opens the HaasConnect website on your phone's web browser.

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
