Gearbox - Oil Pump - Replacement

This procedure tells you how to replace an oil pump. This procedure is applicable to more than one oil pump. Your oil pump can have a different configuration than the illustration.

Tools Required

OIL, REFILL MOBIL SHC 625
Oiler

Step 1

note: Oil pumps that have spade connectors on the pressure switch use the adapter cable in the kit P/N 93-1353.

Remove the two oil port covers [1]. Use an oiler to add (2) drops of oil to each of the ports.

Put the oil port covers [1] back on the oil pump.

Use a pen or thin rod [2] to turn the fan [3] (2) full revolutions before you operate the pump.

Install the oil pump onto the gearbox.

Be aware: Many service and repair procedures should be done only by authorized personnel. The service technicians at your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) have the training, experience, and are certified to do these tasks safely and correctly. You should not do machine repair or service procedures unless you are qualified and knowledgeable about the processes.

Danger: Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not completely understand. Contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service technician visit if you have any doubts about doing a procedure.
